Today on your arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be welcomed by our safari guide from MAA’AT AFRIKA SAFARIS who will be waiting at the airport and drive you at booked hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
TRANSFER TO MABAMBA BIRDING SWAMP AND LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up very early morning and the have you breakfast meet your guide then proceed to mabamba wetland, which is a prime wetland birding site, it is best known for its spectacular shoebill stork sightings, from Mabamba wetland on E-rout from Kampala you will visit lake Mburo national park which is a home to a huge number of savanna fish eagles. The best birding spot in lake Mburo include a platform near the saltlick.
LAKE MBURONATIONAL PARK
We will rise early in the morning and have breakfast and meet our driver guide to check in the park for morning bird watching. Boat cruise birding equally guarantees one a visitor with great chances of seeing all different types of birds flying in pure and clear skies that are blue and again chances of seeing crocodiles and hippos and birds like afrikan fish eagle and the rare African fin foot.

FULL DAY’S BIRDING MGAHINGA GORILLA NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up early morning go for birding, these are notable bird species to sight in mgugahinga gorilla national park, these include black kite,pin-tailed whydah,double –collaredsunbird,paradise flycatcher and blue headed coucal.
You will return to the lodge for lunch and take the rest of the day at the lodge
BIRDING IN RUHIJA SECTOR OF BWINDI
After morning breakfast transfer to ruhija looking out for bird species like black Bee eater, Red throatedc wryneck,mountain wagtail, toro olive- green bul white –starred robin, olive thrush.
Dinner and overnight at one of the booked lodge
BIRDING IN MUBWINDI SWAMP
After your breakfast walk down to the mubwindi swanp looking out for bird species like black billed turaco, western green tinkerbird ,fine-banded woodpecker, afrikan green-broadbill and African hill babbler.
BIRDING IN BUHOMA SECTOR OF BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast ,we find that bwindi impenetrable national park doesn’t quite live up its name as we enter it loking out for bird species like black bee eater ,African broad bill,woodland warbler, cuckooshiirke, and brown capped weaver.
GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI GORILLA PARK
In the world we have 800 mountain gorillas with half of the world’s gorillas.
It is a humble experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat, rest play and bond with their young ones. gorilla trekking starts at 8:30 daily. Following briefing, visitor embark on forest trek lasting from a few hours up to a full day, depending on the on the location of gorillas as they freely range in the impenetrable forest. Tours are limited to 8 people. You will return to the lodge after spending 1 hour with gorilla and take the rest of the day at the lodge.
TRANSFER FROM BWINDI TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Today you will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge and transfer to queen Elizabeth national park with En-route birding and animal viewing along the savannah part of queen Elizabeth national park in the remote sector of Ishasha commonly known for tree climbing lions.
FULL DAYS EXPLORE QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Early in morning have your breakfast proceed to kashenyi plains for a guided game drive during the game drive there are chances of spotting the tree climbing lions and leopard on your way on the game drive, afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel where a lot of water birds are spotted forexample African pied king fisher, great white pelican and the long tailed comorant.
TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After relaxed breakfast you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Kibale forest national park along the way expect to see yellow mantled widowbird the black and black-winged red bishop, common bulbul, all species of doves, pigeons and many more
DAY 13 & 14
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND BIRDING
We bird here for two full days in search of darling green breasted pitta and more forest species like brown illadopsis, brown capped weaver, and African green pigeon, great blue Turaco in Bigodi wetland, African emerald cuckoo, and African wood owl among others.
TRANSFER TO SEMULIKI NATIONAL PARK
You will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge meet your guide to transfer to Semuliki national park with en-route birding and then check in to the booked lodge and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge until dinner and overnight.
FULL DAY BIRDING IN SEMULIKI NATIONAL PARK
Semuliki national park is one of the best birding spots in Uganda and it is known for central African species which cannot be seen anywhere else in east Africa yet their some continents most specular and most sought after birds such as long tailed hawk, Congo serpent eagle, lyre- tailed honeyguide, black-casqued wattled hornbill, Nkulengu rail, and other species like swamp palm bulbul, spotted Greenbul, white-starred robin, lowland akalat, red throated alethea among others.
MORNING BIRDING AND AFTERNOON TRANSFER TO FORT PORTAL
The earlier session of this day will be spent in the forest looking for species missed previous day and after head to fort portal for the night.
TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Today is long day, we will be driving through an escarpment towards the Murchison falls national park. Look out for birds like yellow –rumped and yellow-fronted tinker bird, foxy cisticola and many more.
FULL DAY BIRDING MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Today, we shall wake up early in the morning and go for game drive, a chance to a lot of wildlife but most importantly, keep your eye pealed for the giant, pied, malachite, stripped, chestnut-bellied, blue-breasted, woodland and African pygmy kingfisher and many others like African fish eagle
Return to the lodge for full breakfast and relax until lunch and then evening go for boat ride on the bottom of the falls while searching for species like elusive shoebill stork, little grebe, great white and pink-backed pelican; saddle billed stork and many others species.
BIRDING TO BUDONGO FOREST VIA KANIYO PABIDI
We leave the park birding and head to Uganda’s biggest forest reserve second most important birding area after Semuliki national park. We bird through Kaniyo Pabidi for some hours and then head to booked hotel in Masindi
